Destination web portal

Visittrento hub digitale di destinazione

Trento, an “Alpine Smart City”, is the tourism hub of Trentino, with development pillars that bring together services, quality of life, culture, food and wine, and outdoor activities all year round.

The soul of the destination

Trento is an Alpine city with a zen heartbeat: sunlit squares, museums that experiment, and a kind of welcome that doesn’t put on a show, yet stays with you.

Just a couple of bends away is Monte Bondone, your at-home terrace: crisp air, trails, and stress-free snow. Higher up lies the Piné Plateau, Trento’s balcony: two lakes that change their playlist with every season, and villages that hold nature and memory together. It’s the city+mountain combo designed for feeling good, 365 days a year, for those who live here and those who pass through.

This is the context in which the project sits: a warm, bright voice, professional but never cold, able to alternate evocative language with practical information, avoiding clichés and hyperbole.

It’s the tone we used to tell the story of the city, Bondone, the lakes of Piné, and the villages, keeping consistency across channels and seasons.

Sustainability as a practical, tangible approach

Mobility, public spaces, and environmental awareness become part of the way people experience the city and of how the destination presents itself online and on the ground. It’s a gentle invitation to care for the places you visit, supported by dedicated initiatives and content that is clear, accessible, and measured.

Festivals and major events

The calendar sets the pace of the story: from the city’s flagship festivals to a spread of events that connect the center with the surrounding districts. These moments draw different audiences and extend the season, highlighting both the city’s identity and the character of its villages.

Brand Identity & Digital

Visittrento wasn’t looking for “just a website”. It needed a brand framework able to hold city and mountain together, services and inspiration side by side. We defined a digital repositioning: one single, clear, contemporary voice that speaks Trento’s language, from the city to Monte Bondone, the Piné Plateau, and the surrounding villages.

We aligned tone of voice, UI, and editorial guidelines: titles that guide, microcopy that genuinely helps, and clean calls to action. A design system consistent with the existing identity, modular across seasons, festivals, and sustainability initiatives.

Voice, rhythm, visuals, and data

For us, a complete web project is never just technology: it’s an identity that lives online, and that the editorial team can use every day with ease

Technology that converts, content that makes you want to explore Trento and its surroundings

Trento has an Alpine heart and a contemporary mind, a single city-and-mountain ecosystem that simply works. Here, digital isn’t a showcase: it’s the engine that sparks the experience.

When you choose a holiday, you look for two things: inspiration and clear answers. A website has to do both, fuel the dream and dissolve doubts. At Kumbe, we work so that desire becomes a simple action: booking the right room, renting an e-bike for the whole week, locking in activities, outdoor experiences, and events. To us, that’s conversion done with a gentle, direct voice, clean paths, and content that takes you far in just a few clicks.

Pimcore

Integrations: the HUB that connects data and content

The portal is built on Pimcore as a product hub: one central control room for editorial content and external feeds. It connects to Feratel Deskline for accommodation and experiences, TGP for points of interest and events, Outdooractive for routes and maps, weather and webcams for real-time context, and Brevo for newsletters and automation.

Navigation is “situational”: when you’re on Bondone, snow, lifts, and hiking take the lead; on Piné, lakes, walks, and villages come forward; in the city, culture, food and wine, and major events.

This way, users can find what they need, understand it, and book it without friction

SEO: being found, being chosen

We start with a 3-month technical setup: a clean information architecture, redirect mapping, schema.org markup, consistent titles and headings by location and product, and optimized images and performance.

Goal: to own searches by area (Trento, Bondone, Piné, and the villages), by interest (outdoor all year round, culture, etc.), and by calendar (festivals and major events), in line with the pillars of the destination strategy.

Candyman

Data & accessibility: clear decisions, an experience for everyone

We set up GA4 and GTM with meaningful events (map interactions, “book/contact” clicks, itinerary saves, newsletter sign-ups) and custom dimensions for location and product, with shared dashboards to understand how the city, Bondone, Piné, and the villages perform throughout the year.

On accessibility: semantic code, correct focus order, ARIA where needed, compliant contrast ratios, accessibility support widgets, and a dedicated page with a feedback form and a link to the AGID accessibility statement. Privacy and Cookiebot included.
