A new portal for Azienda per il Turismo San Martino di Castrozza

San Martino di Castrozza, Passo Rolle, Primiero, the Vanoi Valley, Val Canali and Sagron Mis: one Alpine area, many different souls. The new portal of Azienda per il Turismo San Martino di Castrozza, Primiero and Vanoi was created to bring them all together in a living, connected digital ecosystem, ready to follow you 365 days a year.

More than a website, it’s the beating heart of the destination: a technologically advanced platform that reshapes the communication strategy and puts your experience at the center. The interface has been streamlined, the main sections are immediately clear, information arrives fast: a few clicks, zero friction.

The content architecture is designed to move beyond the old summer/winter model: the seasons coexist, intertwine, and inspire you. On every page you’ll find the area in a full-option version, ready to be enjoyed whenever you choose, not only “in season”.

A territory to highlight

That’s why the first item in the main menu is entirely dedicated to it. Here the story starts from its roots: the villages of Primiero and San Martino di Castrozza are places of deep authenticity, set in the heart of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, within one of the most spectacular settings in the Dolomites, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

An exceptionally rich heritage, which the new portal finally puts at the center, where it deserves to be.

Holiday motivations

The new portal takes you by the hand and builds a tailor-made holiday around what you love doing. Content is organized into broad worlds of interest, so you get straight to the point:

  • Outdoor & Ski for those who live for slopes, trails and elevation gain,
  • Family for those travelling with little ones and needing clear, safe, nearby services,
  • Food & Wine, Art and Culture for those who want to taste the territory through flavors, stories and traditions,
  • Relax & Wellness for those looking for a rejuvenating break among nature, spas and silence.

There’s also room for the real questions: what do I do when it rains? The portal answers with targeted suggestions, zero panic and plenty of indoor ideas. And if the mountains are also your office, you’ll find a selection of services for working remotely at altitude, designed to help you work well and carve out quality time between a call and a view of the Pale di San Martino.

Everything flows into “Plan your holiday”, the single control room where inspiration and organization meet. Here you can gather practical information, tools and useful services in one place to turn what you’ve seen on the site into a trip that’s ready to go.

Beneath the surface of the design, the technology works for one thing only: helping people book better and earlier.

Technology in service of booking

The digital strategy is designed to maximize conversion:
accommodations and experiences are highlighted and referenced across multiple sections of the portal, so in just a few clicks a great idea becomes a confirmed booking.
Supporting this is a set of practical integrations:

  • real-time weather (3bmeteo) to choose the right moment,
  • live webcams from the area to instantly see what conditions are like,
  • up-to-date lift and slope bulletins thanks to the APIs of Feratel and Dolomiti Superski (TGP).
Fewer open tabs, more certainty for anyone planning their next mountain escape.

Sustainability

In the new portal, sustainability isn’t a simple label: it’s a central chapter of the story. It gives shape to the vision of a lighter kind of tourism, respectful of places and the people who live there.

Since 2022, Primiero San Martino di Castrozza has been part of the international Alpine Pearls network, the “Alpine Pearls” circuit that promotes gentle, low-impact tourism: fewer cars, smarter mobility, and authentic experiences enjoyed at a slower pace.

Recognition

Awards and European projects show how Primiero and Vanoi have become an advanced laboratory for the ecological transition.
The valleys are a pilot site for the European project “Communitas” on developing energy and sustainable communities, and they have received international-level awards, such as the European Solar Prize 2023 for the Primiero and Vanoi Energy Community and the “Non Sprecare” Award 2022 to ACSM for its shared energy model.
As early as 2020, the area was identified as Italy’s first national pilot case on energy communities and, over the years, it has taken part in initiatives such as InnoForEst and Multiply, as well as awards including the RES Champions League and Legambiente’s Comuni Rinnovabili, which recognize it as an example of virtuous renewable energy use.
The portal brings order to this wealth of experience, turning it into clear, accessible content for those looking for a truly climate-friendly destination.

“Move AP!”

Within this vision sits “Move AP!”, the sustainable development project that actively involves local hotels and restaurants. Through “Move AP!”, many businesses are making a concrete choice for gentle mobility and reduced plastic use, offering services, practical measures and small but meaningful touches that lower the impact of a stay.
On the portal, the project is highlighted in the operators area, a dedicated section that is essential for managing and supporting the local hospitality network.

Operators Area

A key piece of the new digital ecosystem is the Operators Area, a dedicated space designed for those who live the destination as their job, every day.

Here, tourism operators can find tailored information, useful materials and practical tools to manage their presence in the destination more effectively. Among the most important features is the ability to manage the availability of private apartments that are not integrated into Feratel, so the non-hotel accommodation sector can also be included in an orderly, professional way.

It’s not just a restricted area, but a true shared working tool that strengthens the partnership between the APT and operators, aligning communication, services and the overall offering.

Because the new San Martino di Castrozza, Primiero and Vanoi portal truly works only when everyone is connected: guests, the territory, and those who bring it to life every day, in summer and winter.
