The whole of the Garda Dolomiti tourism sector is already buzzing for one of the most exciting events in the world of cycling.

We received a request to create the new website for the Bike Festival Riva in order to present the event and make it accessible in a technologically advanced and engaging way.

And at the same time, special attention was paid to allocating the proper space to all exhibitors in attendance which will, in time, be added to and populated further: www.bikefestivalriva.com

A trilingual web portal for an international event

The Bike Festival has always been one of the most popular and best-attended international events for fans of cycling. Delivering remarkable numbers which have always been the hallmark of the Bike Festival leading to much expectation and enthusiasm for this year’s edition.

Naturally, this meant that the brief included a requirement to create the website in three languages: Italian, English, and German.

The Bike Festival website has been produced using the Pimcore CMS. The major added value of this project is allowing the client to independently manage content for updates in real-time.

A single integrated management tool, which is easy to use for the whole of the Bike Festival Riva team and the Garda Dolomiti tourist board.

Bike Festival Riva is not just an event, it is a huge opportunity for the host destination to showcase the region and everything it has to offer for tourists.

Garda Dolomiti tourist board and Lake Garda are well known, in part thanks to the Bike Festival, and the DMO benefits from its sizeable popularity and promotion.

The new website allows every user to quickly find the information they are looking, fulfilling the requirement for booking their whole stay.

That’s not all: users can also view real-time weather forecasts and upcoming events, so they can plan every moment of their day.

Technology Integrations

For Bike Festival, we have integrated a number of different systems and software packages which enhance the digital offering for the event.

Specifically, we integrated:

  1. TOSC 5 from Feratel
  2. MailChimp for managing email marketing
  3. OutdoorActive for displaying all of the outdoor routes in the destination

From comunication to conversion in a single digital platform, users can find inspiration, information, and can make bookings.

Strong Tone of voice 

The tone of voice had to be bold, just like the event itself. With a very direct style of language which is lively, youthful, and clear, making every type of user feel engaged.

An event of this scale required a site architecture that was carefully designed, able to give everyone their own space.

An extensive section is devoted to clearly and consistently presenting all of the stands and exhibiting brands.

This is a dynamic website which, as the event gets closer, can be added to and enhanced with new text, multimedia content, and information.
