How does it work?

The Digital Credentials system is designed to record visitors’ check-ins across the destination, making it ideal for building loyalty and analyzing tourist flows

It integrates easily with newsletter sign-up, enabling direct and ongoing contact
It gives visitors a personal diary of their routes, always up to date and shareable, turning every exploration into a trackable and memorable experience.

Kumbe Walk & Stamp works in a few simple steps:

  1. Instant scan: users find QR codes or NFC tags along the route (also on existing signage) and scan them.
  2. Automatic registration: the system creates the user on their first scan and saves the location and time data.
  3. Notification and digital credential: a confirmation email is sent automatically, with a link to a portal where users can view their personal page with stamps and dates for each visited point.
  4. Offline support guaranteed: if the device is offline, the email is sent as soon as it reconnects.
  5. Rewards and recognition: when certain milestones are reached, visitors receive congratulations and, if enabled, vouchers or discount coupons to use locally.

Why does the system use an email app?

Because an email app is already present on almost every device, the system relies on a familiar tool that’s immediately available.
This approach avoids the need to build a new web app or ask users to download yet another smartphone application, making access and use easier for everyone.
